The Second Step to Becoming a Certified PCM® Trainer
PCM® 2: Advanced Topics is a 2-day intensive training that builds on the foundation established in PCM® 1. This course focuses on connecting, motivating, and resolving conflict using advanced Process Communication Model strategies. After completing PCM® 2, you are eligible to register for the Kahler Communications certification training. This is where you move from understanding the model to mastering its application.
What You Will Learn
Where communication breaks down, and how to repair it.
PCM® 1 taught you to identify personality types, communicate through the right channels, and recognize distress patterns. PCM® 2 takes you deeper into the mechanics of human interaction.
This 2-day training, scheduled Friday and Saturday, focuses on three advanced competency areas: connecting with each personality type at a level that builds genuine rapport, motivating individuals by meeting their specific psychological needs in the right sequence, and resolving conflict by recognizing and interrupting failure pattern scripts before they escalate.
You will work through in-depth reviews of each type's failure patterns, including the specific language, tone, and behavioral sequences that signal each degree of distress. Extensive practice through application exercises ensures you leave with skills you have tested under realistic conditions. Every participant receives an individualized manual with their own base and phase scripts identified.

Who Should Attend
For anyone who has completed PCM® 1.
PCM® 2: Advanced Topics requires completion of PCM® 1: Core Concepts as a prerequisite. The course assumes working fluency in all six personality types, the five communication channels, and the foundational distress sequences covered in PCM® 1.
If you are pursuing PCM® trainer certification, PCM® 2 is your required second step. After completing both PCM® 1 and PCM® 2 through Affinity Consultants, you will be eligible to register for the Kahler Communications certification training, which qualifies you to deliver PCM® workshops and administer PCM® assessments independently.
If you are not pursuing certification, PCM® 2 is still valuable for any practitioner who wants advanced skills in conflict resolution, motivational strategies, and failure pattern intervention. Haven't completed PCM® 1 yet? Start here.

There is no required waiting period. Some participants attend PCM® 1 and PCM® 2 in consecutive weeks. Others wait several months to practice their PCM® 1 skills before advancing. Both approaches work well.
Failure patterns are the predictable behavioral sequences each personality type follows under distress. Scripts are the specific verbal and behavioral interventions that interrupt these patterns at each degree of distress. PCM® 2 teaches you to recognize and apply these scripts in real time.
PCM® 2 is $1,000 per person. This includes your individualized manual with base and phase scripts, all course materials, and two full days of advanced training.
Your manual is prepared specifically for you based on your PCM® profile. It identifies your personal base and phase scripts, the specific failure patterns most relevant to your personality structure, and provides targeted strategies for managing them.
